Do you enjoy helping people? Do you have strong customer service skills? The Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) may be for you. Our positions represent an independent voice within the IRS. Helping customers satisfactorily resolve their inquiries or complaints and the protection of taxpayer rights is the primary goal of all TAS employees.
Taxpayers may request the assistance of the Taxpayer Advocate if they can no longer provide for basic necessities, they have an economic burden or existing systems are just not working. We help businesses too!
