Contact Representatives – Job Series 0962
As a Contact Representative, you will deal directly with a wide range of individuals who
have varying degrees of understanding, including CPAs and attorneys, regarding their
accounts and provide tax law information needed to resolve their issues.
Tax Examiners – Job Series 0592
As a Tax Examiner, you will research, analyze and initiate actions to correct tax
accounts and records and advise taxpayers of appeal procedures.
Clerks – Job Series 0303, 0305
As a Clerk, you will provide specialized administrative assistance to resolve taxpayer
account issues.
Tax Analysts – Job Series 0501
As a Tax Analyst, you will provide technical guidance on issues, proposals, and
activities impacting program operations, and ensure operating units are in alignment
with regulatory and administrative provisions and requirements.
Tax Consultants – Job Series 0501
As a Tax Consultant, you’ll assist taxpayers by providing technical assistance regarding
all kinds of taxes and explain probable consequences to various open courses of action.
Correspondence Examination Technicians – Job Series 0503
As a Correspondence Examination Technician, you’ll perform case analysis on pre-
classified returns and unresolved responses and identify and resolve issues that arise
during examination.
